Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became the America's sweetheart when she took home American Idol in the first season. The victory not only propelled her into the limelight, but also earned her a multi-album recording contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. Since her debut in the series, she has released a number of albums. Of those albums three made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The other albums were also near the top. Her name is one of the most well-known artists that made it through American Idol. She started to explore themes and music as her success increased. As a result of her uniqueness and skill as a singer, she was praised by reviewers and was awarded a couple of prestigious prizes. The most notable accomplishment is that she won three Grammy Awards. The music industry isn't her only occupation. Her appearances in TV and movies. She also wrote her children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and been involved in numerous charities.
