Emily Bett Rickards born July 24, 1991 is a Canadian actress who is famous for playing Felicity Smoak in The CW television series Arrow. Rickards was born within British Columbia, is Canadian. She began her acting career at an early age by studying musical theatre, dance and other forms of entertainment. Her high school graduation was earlier and enrolled in the Vancouver Film School, completing the Acting Essentials Program. She auditioned at an open call following the completion of her program. The audition resulted in her being signed to an agency. Alida Vocal Studio, Vancouver is where she studied. The initial contract was to perform in an episode of the series however, her overwhelmingly positive reviews from viewers and her ability to make sarcasm funny made her a first choice as a guest-star and later, as a co-star for the remaining episodes of season 1.
