Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. The father of her was Argentine and has Scottish as well as English roots. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English descent. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. The family was in Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria area in London. According to Taylor-Joy, the removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to learn English with the intention of returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend following her departure from Northlands. After that, she went to Queen's Gate School in London and took ballet classes as well as participated in drama productions. At 16, she left school in order to take on acting as a profession. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to become an actress and her goals were realized when she was given an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
